MAN KILLED NEIGHBOURS OVER UPROOTED TREES
A court in the capital sentenced a man to death on Thursday after finding him guilty of murdering four family members, including a five-year-old girl. Zhang Honghai stabbed the neighbouring family to death in May last year after they uprooted some trees in his yard, the Beijing News reports. Zhang told the court that killing was the best way of solving a dispute quickly.

PEDESTRIANS LOOK AWAY AS STABBED MAN BLEEDS
SICHUAN - Passers-by ignored a man's pleas for help as he lay bleeding ina Chengdu street after being stabbed nine times by a gang of robbers, the West China Daily reports. Onlookers refused to even lend him a mobile phone to call for help. A passing nurse eventually came to the man's aid.
